Installing Owl Nesting Baskets

Our team were asked to install 6, locally made, wicker baskets to encourage 'Long Eared Owls' to nest in this location. The baskets, used to replicate old owl nests, were installed approximately 8 metres up in the trees following the guidance of one of Forestry England's Ecologists. 

It's hoped that these nest baskets or 'Owl Hotels' as they are affectionally known will encourage the Long Eared Owls to nest, we look forward to hearing if they have been successful later in the year.
